| Ultrasound imaging, also called sonography, is a method of obtaining images using high frequency sound waves. Ultrasound is useful for examining many of the body's internal organs, including the heart, liver, gallbladder, spleen, pancreas, kidneys, and bladder.
Emerson Hospital offers a full range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures -- from pelvic ultrasound, familiar to expectant parents to new ultrasound treatments for uterine fibroids and ultrasound-guided breast biopsies.
